Information we collect
When you join the email list, we collect your name and email address, your company if provided, your answer about Owens Corning Platinum contractor status, and the time you opted in. An episode PDF request also records which episode you requested. Guest applications and sponsor nominations collect the details you choose to submit in those forms. We may collect basic site activity, such as page visits and episode downloads, when analytics is enabled.
How we use information
We use signup information to manage the email list and send future episode notes, action plans, and updates about upcoming conversations when email delivery is available. We use PDF request details to provide the requested material, and application or nomination details to review and respond to submissions. We use site activity to understand which content is useful and to maintain the website.
Email consent and your choices
Joining the email list requires an unchecked opt-in box. Requesting an episode PDF through the site also requires agreement to receive episode emails. Guest applications do not add you to the email list unless you select their optional opt-in; sponsor nominations do not subscribe anyone. You can stop marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in an email. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete information you submitted by emailing info@abovetheroofline.com, subject to applicable requirements.
Service providers and other sites
We use providers to host the website and, when connected, to manage the mailing list and deliver email. These providers process information needed to perform those services. Episode videos and links to platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, and Apple may take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Cookies and analytics
The site may use essential cookies for restricted-area sign-in and site operation. If analytics is enabled, it may record page visits and successful action-list downloads. Download analytics uses an episode identifier rather than your name or email address.
Storage and security
We retain submitted information while it is needed to manage subscriptions, fulfill requests, review submissions, and meet applicable obligations. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails but may not remove records needed to honor your choice. We limit access to administrative areas, but no online service can guarantee complete security.
